Whose real name is Olivier Rizzo, is a French artist born in 1961 and living in Paris.
Considered one of the pioneers of urban art in France, he made his first stencils on the street in 1983. The same year he graduated from Estienne Art School and decided to devote himself fully to painting.
He develops his solo shows by themes mobilizing a wide variety of forms of expression, from painting and video to sculpture and installation. Each exhibition is an opportunity to reinvent himself by consistently offering a new visual grammar. A characteristic that can be found throughout the career of Speedy Graphito is the play with the codes and iconography of both pop culture and institutional culture.
The work of Speedy Graphito has been shown internationally since the ’80s and is now present in the permanent collections of various museums.
